Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office deputies found 12 fake driver's licenses in a vehicle during a July 29 traffic stop on West Hillsborough Avenue, a Tampa corridor connecting to the South Shore communities, and arrested the driver on felony fraud charges.

Bryce Swanson, 28, initially identified herself as Brianna Valenzuela and told deputies she was visiting from New York, according to body camera footage released by HCSO. She said she had no ID.

Swanson first claimed she held a valid driver's license, then admitted she had never possessed one, CBS 12 reported. When deputies searched the vehicle, they discovered the stack of 12 licenses. All bore her photograph but listed different names and dates of birth.

Swanson Faces Felony Fraud Charge, Held on ICE Detainer

Investigators determined Swanson is a Canadian national who had overstayed her visa, according to a report by MySunCoast. She was booked into the Orient Road Jail and is being held without bond because of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold.

Swanson faces a felony charge of fraudulent use of personal information involving more than $5,000 or between 10 and 20 victims. She was also charged with driving without a valid license and giving a false name to a law enforcement officer.

HCSO has not released details about the identities listed on the 12 licenses or said whether investigators have connected any alleged victims to the fraud case. No court date has been announced.
