Hillsborough County Public Schools is hosting a live online workshop on cyberbullying Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m.
The district announced on X that it is partnering with SmartSocial, a digital citizenship education organization, for a session focused on combating online bullying and supporting positive student behavior. The workshop is open to all HCPS families, including those at South Shore schools such as Lennard High School and East Bay High School.
SmartSocial was founded by Josh Ochs. According to the organization's website, the program covers how cyberbullying affects students and what parents and educators can do to protect children from online harm. SmartSocial hosts weekly live online workshops for partner school districts and encourages families to attend together.
The district's post included a registration link, though the shortened URL directed viewers to SmartSocial's site. Families can visit SmartSocial.com or the district's X account, @HillsboroughSch, for registration details.
Registration is available through the link in the district's Oct. 25 post on X.
