The Tampa Sailing Squadron (TSS) opened its Keel Boat Racing Fall Series on Saturday at the club's race course in Apollo Beach.
Skippers met at 11 a.m. for sign-up before a 2 p.m. starting gun, according to the club's event calendar. Racing ran until 4:30 p.m. No registration was required to compete.
The next keelboat race in the series is Nov. 7, running the same 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. schedule.
Portsmouth race set for Saturday
TSS also hosts a Portsmouth Racing Fall Series race Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the club's Portsmouth course. Daniel Holtzberg is the contact for that event.
Membership meeting open to public
A TSS membership meeting is set for Monday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the clubhouse, 1250 Apollo Beach Blvd. The meeting is open to the public.
The Portsmouth series race Saturday is the next sailing action at the club.
